1. Capacitate teachers in using different online modality platforms that include DepEd Learning Management System, DepEd COmmons, DepEd Online (FB Page, Youtube, ETULAY Tutorial Session), DepEd TV, and DepEd Radio

2. Provide awareness and proper handling of technology tools in delivering instruction in synchronous and asynchronoys format.

3. Learn and apply different components of cyber wellness (data privac, netiquette, and troubleshooting).

4. Teach emerging technology tools and applications to maximize the use of cross-platform operating system.

5. Inspire teachers through guided programs to innovate and upgrade their skills in the use of different solutions and in aquiring international certification under Microsoft, Adobe, and Google.

National Science Club Month Webinar Series 2021

September has been declared National Science Club Month (NSCM) under Presidential Proclamation No. 264, s. 2002. The said proclamation authorizes the Department of Education (DepEd), Department of Science and Technology – Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI), Commission on Higher Education (CHED), Philippine Society of Youth and Science Clubs (PSYSC), and Science Club Advisers’ Association of the Philippines (SCAAP) to implement plans and activities pertinent to the National Science Club Month.

 

The Information and Communications Technology Service-Educational Technology Unit (ICTS-EdTech) will conduct the 2021 National Science Club Month Webinar Series with OUA Memo No. 00-0821-0061. These are webinar sessions for public and private school teachers and learners linking ICT tools and emerging technologies.

 

The sessions will be held every Saturday on September 4, 11, 18, and 25, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

 

Participants may sign-up through the open registration via the DepEd Professional Development-Learning Management System (PD-LMS) and the sessions will be aired on the following social media accounts:

In line with the DepEd Order No. 012, s. 2021 (Amendment to DepEd Order No. 030 s. 2020), the Information and Communications Technology Service - Educational Technology Unit (ICTS-EdTech) will conduct a virtual In-Service Training (INSET) for teachers on 15-19 March 2021. 

This five day session aims to further expand the participants' skills and knowledge on different digital teaching materials, systems and approaches that are useful in delivering quality instruction.
